In any case, we got there early enough to get some practice runs in. We ran into a lot of our skate friends from years past as soon as we arrived. Tevon came right up and said "Hi", we see him at a lot of the competitions and he is always in the thick of things. After a few runs we realized that we couldn't skate this year. The ankle just hurt too much, but it was still a lot of fun to see everyone. Afterwards, we went to a local Sushi restaurant so I'd still consider the day a success.

The 2008 Halloween Havoc in Boulder Colorado
It's always fun to go up to Boulder to skate in the Halloween Havoc skateboard competition. The parents and the kids go all-out with the costumes. This is a Boulder tradition and the event seems to resonate well with the culture there. We weren't sure if we could skate in the formal competition this year since Alejandro twisted his ankle in Castle Rock earlier in the week.
