In any case, we got there early enough to get some practice runs in. We ran into a lot of our skate friends from years past as soon as we arrived. Tevon came right up and said "Hi", we see him at a lot of the competitions and he is always in the thick of things. After a few runs we realized that we couldn't skate this year. The ankle just hurt too much, but it was still a lot of fun to see everyone. Afterwards, we went to a local Sushi restaurant so I'd still consider the day a success.

The 2008 Halloween Havoc in Boulder Colorado
It's always fun to go up to Boulder to skate in the Halloween Havoc skateboard competition. The parents and the kids go all-out with the costumes. This is a Boulder tradition and the event seems to resonate well with the culture there. We weren't sure if we could skate in the formal competition this year since Alejandro twisted his ankle in Castle Rock earlier in the week.

Skating the Woodward Skate Park in Denver October 2008
We always enjoy going up to Colorado Mills Mall and skating at Woodward. We usually only go in the Winter since it costs green backs and there are so many parks in the metropolitan area, but recently we just couldn't resist; after all, who doesn't like skating on the soft wood and the video camera was fully charged. Here's the result:
We arrived after participating in Brighton's official skate park opening ceromony. I believe it was on October 18th 2008. It was a nice day so there weren't a lot of skaters. Ideal conditions to create a skate video before the Winter season starts! Hope you enjoy and please say Hi if you see us at Woodward this year.

SK8NE1, Google, YouTube, Blogger and the Denver Skatepark
This is the first blog post for sk8ne1 using Google blogger. I wanted to see if I could place a YouTube video in a Google blog posting so I started by creating a YouTube channel called, you guessed it, SK8NE1. Then, I exported a short video clip to DV format and uploaded it using the Google Gears upload application. Here's the result:
I think it looks pretty good so I'm going to start using YouTube to do the "heavy lifting" of my skate videos. Digital video files can be enormous and if I get a lot of people looking at my videos it could cost some bucks! Enjoy the short clip, I'll plan to put more up soon.
